Subcontracts Engineer (Ref: EP0912719)

Responsibilities:

Make purchases for services and manage contracts of behalf of the company and the projects, optimizing costs, observing timelines and quality standards.

Prepare instructions for deciding scope of work, buying conditions and other details.

Contribute to defining the vendors list.

Follow up with potential suppliers/subcontractors including conducting negotiations.

Tabulate commercial comparisons of tenders received from suppliers/subcontractors.

Ensure technical and economic detailed specifications are guaranteed by the suppliers as well as consistent with the bidding phase and in final contract.

Draws up contracts, stipulates subcontract conditions and ensure that contracts are in line with company policies.

Interfaces with the projects and the suppliers/subcontractors.

Make periodic reports on progress of activities.

Manage progress claims and variation orders.

Obtain and communicate feedback on the supplies/services received.

Diploma / Degree with more than 5 years’ similar experience.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
